
WSET Level 1 in Wines - ONLINE

WSET Level 1 in Wines is an introductory online course suited to those with a basic wine knowledge as well as the total beginner.
In a short time, you’ll feel much more confident. You’ll be better at tasting wine, using a wine list, buying bottles, and pairing wine with food.
The course provides a solid foundation that can be built on further on the Level 2 Award in Wines.
Online Program
Studying online gives you the flexibility to study at a time and place that suits you. So whether you have a job with challenging hours, or complex personal commitments, you can still gain all the benefits of a WSET qualification.
You can choose from multiple start dates, with courses commencing approximately every two weeks. You will have four weeks from the course start date to complete the five modules. You can do these five modules at your own pace, be it all in one day or spread over four weeks. The course material should take about six hours in total to complete, plus revision time. You will have access to a certified wine educator through the online portal, and can ask questions throughout the course.
Study Guide
Within 48 hours of registration, you will be sent a link to access your online study guide. Access is valid for 1 year from time of registration.
Exam
Your WSET Level 1 exam is completed fully online using remote invigilation. You can pick your exam date and time online immediately after you register for the course, or you can select your exam date anytime in the next 11 months. You have one year from your course start date to schedule and take your exam.
We require 18 business days notice to register you for the WSET Level 1 exam. There is a US$100 fee to change your exam date after it is scheduled or to resit the exam, if required.

Course delivery
This qualification has a minimum requirement of 6 hours of study time.
Assessment
Students have 45 minutes to answer 30 multiple choice questions.
Students are required to achieve a grade of 70% to
pass the Level 1 certification.
On successful completion of the examination, students will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
