WHY WE MADE THESE CARDS
We were WSET students too. This is what we wish we’d had.
We know exactly what that feeling is like — sitting down to study, good intentions, coffee in hand, and then hitting that moment where everything just blurs together.
Riesling or Gewürztraminer? Which one has the petrol note? Is Viognier high or medium acidity? Wait, does Chenin Blanc age well or not?
You study hard. You just can’t hold it all at once.
And then our students started telling us the same thing. Over and over, the same frustration: “I know I studied this, but I can’t keep it all in my head.”
So we built the cards we wished existed.
Not a summary. Not a cheat sheet. A clear visual card for every single grape — showing you how the climate, the grape, the winemaking, and the style all connect. Because once you see the logic, you don’t forget it.

No — these are independently made by Petar Velickovic, DipWSET and WSET Certified Educator. They’re a study supplement, not official WSET materials.

Can I use these for WSET Level 3 too?
Yes, absolutely. Level 3 builds on Level 2 grape knowledge, so having a solid understanding of each variety going in is a real advantage. These cards are a great foundation.
Do I need the Climate and Appellations Cards as well, or are these enough on their own?
These are fully standalone — every card includes the climate information relevant to that grape. The Climate and Appellations Cards go deeper on climate logic across all grapes. They’re complementary but neither requires the other.
I’m not taking WSET — are these still useful?
Definitely. If you work in hospitality, you love wine, or you just want to understand what’s in your glass, these cards work for you too. No exam required.
