Tasting Component

Wine tasting is a core part of Level 2.

We will provide a recommended wine list. Students are responsible for sourcing wines locally.
A typical list includes 12–18 wines representing key grapes, regions, and styles covered in the qualification.

  • Spittoon 

  • Still water

  • Notebook, pen and white background 

  • Quiet, well-lit space for tasting

 

Online Exam via Remote Invigilation

Your exam is taken online from home through WSET’s Remote Invigilation system.

Exam Format

  • 1 hour

  • 50 multiple-choice questions

  • Closed-book

  • Schedule your exam on demand, at a date/time that suits your schedule

  • Assessment is by a closed-book online exam (30 MCQs).

  • There are no entry requirements.

  • You must be of legal drinking age to participate in any tasting activity.
